INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT THERAPY PROGRAM (IOP)
Machon Dvir offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for English speakers at our Raanana clinic. This 12-week program, the first of its kind in Israel, requires participants to attend three times per week, from 9 am to 3 pm.
Directed by Tzachi Fried, PhD, and Sarah Reinstein, MD, the IOP is currently open to women, ages 18+, who suffer from emotion dysregulation, personality disorders, or other behavioral health issues which challenge day to day functioning. The IOP can also used as a step-down from a more intensive level of care.
Programming will emphasize the following:
Intensive DBT skills
aimed at helping participants learn to regulate their emotions and increase their interpersonal effectiveness.
Life skills
to help participants return to an optimal level of functioning in the world.
Alternative therapies
including creative arts, movement, and self-defense, to aid in the development of self-efficacy, self-esteem, and trauma recovery.
Various other therapy groups
throughout the 12-week process.
Medication management
as needed.
Who is the program best suited for?
- Individuals for whom once or twice per week therapy isn’t enough. This might be particularly true for those who have a hard time organizing themselves enough to practice between sessions.
- Individuals who are not functional enough to hold down a framework, and finds themselves not doing much of anything
- Individuals who need to transition back to everyday life after a hospital stay
- Individuals who require a higher level of care, but who are not suited for residential treatment programs due to school, work, or family obligations.
Program requirements
Intakes will be processed on a rolling basis every three weeks.
